Diamond Sharpening File 5mm for 3/8 and .404 Chainsaw Chain

  • Low heat transfer results in a long lasting razor sharp edge.

Diamond files are suitable for sharpening both steel and tungsten-carbide tipped chains. Due to their high-quality diamond coating, these files last much longer than Steel files. For Sharpening Tungsten Chains used with normal hardwood we recommend not sharpening but using the chain till failure of the tungsten tips due to the chain being blunted by abrasion.  The time saved generally is worth more than the chain life extension.  However sharpening is recommended for Tungsten Chains that are cutting extremely hard or abrasive wood such as Ironbark and of course Steel chains in any use.
